The purpose of engaging with prisoners and refugees is to demonstrate Grace in real life. Most men incarcerated are fathers to children. Children, who need their father to be a meaningful part of their life. By providing practical teaching and relational support, the hope is that men who have made mistakes will not allow their past to recursively define their future. Similarly, men currently deported or held as refugees in camps are in critical need of support in regards to their paternal function.
